Junior Interior Designer

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with JHL team to serve the needs of clients.
• Create and modify plans as directed by others.
• Understand and adhere to JHL's graphic and CAD standards.
• Create graphic presentations such as design review presentations, client presentations, and marketing collateral.
• Research and coordinate details regarding specific scopes of work and/or sub consultants.
• Work with product vendors/manufacturers to develop details.
• Coordinate with other team members and integrate details of building systems/components.
• Navigate and understand how construction documents are assembled.
• Participate in client meetings in conjunction with senior staff.
• Create and organize work plans to execute assigned tasks.
• Review and critique own work prior to review by others.
• Assist in finish selections appropriate for the project type and use.
• Maintain the health and welfare of the Revit drawings and Sketchup model.
• May be responsible for maintenance of Interior Library.
• Meet with product reps.

EXPERIENCE

• Required: Bachelor or Master's degree from an accredited Interior Design program.
• Generally: 2-5 years of industry experience in an architect or interior design office.
• Required: Experience with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS + ABILITIES

• Knowledge of Revit, Sketchup, Enscape, and Bluebeam preferred.
• Ability to communicate through verbal, written, and graphic communication formats.
• Ability to determine the right tool for the task.
• Develop ability to prioritize multiple important tasks.
• Develop critical thinking to identify strengths, weaknesses, or alternate solutions to a problem with supervision.
