Lumbreras Residence – Living & Dining Room Remodel

This 1970’s farmhouse, nestled into the farming countryside of Independence, Oregon was lacking the fresh, classic style that is representative of the family that inhabits it. Our clients asked us to capture the age and beauty of the home’s style, while adding a current modern twist. We freshened the living & dining room areas with new furnishings, lighting, commissioned artwork & accessories mixed in with some existing pieces that were refurbished to fit within the new design direction. JHL design was able to balance simplicity and sophistication, such as adding a gorgeous trim to what would be simple linen drapes, replacing the sofa cushion’s existing fabric with a graphic, punchy floral print and adding custom made throw pillows. It was important to combine basic and luxury brands to fit within the budget, all the while creating a space specific the client’s personality. The result perfectly reflects the homeowner’s style: causal chic with a stylized twist.
